Furai is the fifth and the final 'nagare' car
Nagare is a concept car introduced by MAZDA and is considered to be an exercise in natural and organic car design for the future of MAZDA automobiles
- Furai uses the world’s only ethanol powered three-rotor rotary engine.
- The rotary engine sits very low in the chassis, thus promoting a useful centre of gravity.
- The air flow package takes air moving under the front of the car and guides it inside the body to the engine-cooling radiators.
- Without the wings, the drag factor is an impressive 0.36. With them, it's 0.5
- The tyres, supplied by KUMHO, are with hand-cut tread pattern for road purpose and full slick for racing purpose.
- The transmission is a six-speed sequential, but there's still an old-school gear-lever.
- MAZDA Furai is capable enough to handle up to 750bhp.
